Shailey Shah — Echoes of Realms
Shailey Shah (b. 1997) is a multidisciplinary artist, continuously exploring new materials, techniques, and their infinite possibilities. Having studied Sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp (BE) before graduating from NABA in Milan (IT), she has developed a diverse range of skills and an interdisciplinary approach to making. Her surroundings and lived experiences form the core of her artistic research, shaping a practice that moves fluidly between reflection and experimentation.
Echoes of Realms traces the reverberations of lived experience, imagined worlds, and cultural inheritance. The works presented here function as portals, visual and tactile gateways into overlapping dimensions where memory, heritage, and fantasy converge.
Through ceramics, installations, and paintings, Shah navigates her personal and collective landscapes. The title points to the idea that realms, whether cultural, social, personal, or fictional, do not exist in isolation. They resonate, collide, and echo within us, continuously shaping how we perceive ourselves and the world around us.
Shah’s practice invites viewers to listen to these echoes, to recognise their own points of connection, and to step into the layered web of realities that define human experience.
